Connect the smart aircon module
Before you start
You will need:
- The smart aircon module with its attached cable.
- A compatible Mitsubishi Electric aircon.
- Your home Wi-Fi name and password. The network must support 2.4 GHz.
Watch the installation
Connect the cable
- Turn off the electrical supply. Follow your aircon’s installation instructions before removing any covers.
- Open the aircon casing to reveal the CN105 port.
- Plug in the cable. One end is already attached to the module. Gently connect the other end to the aircon’s CN105 socket.
- Secure the module and cable. Tuck them into the bottom of the case.
- Close all covers, then restore power. The module starts automatically using power from the aircon. No separate power supply is needed.
Important
Use only the supplied cable. Do not connect the USB-C cable while the module is connected to the aircon.

Set up one smart aircon module at a time. Note which module belongs to each room so you can name it correctly in Apple Home.

Connect to your home Wi-Fi
Watch the setup
Open the setup page
- Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings near the smart aircon module.
- Join the module’s setup network using the details below.
- Stay connected if your phone says No Internet. This is normal during setup.
- Open the page that appears. If it does not open, enter
http://192.168.4.1in your browser’s address bar.

Follow the on-screen steps
- Read the introduction, then continue.
- Choose your home Wi-Fi and enter its password. If the connection fails, check the details and try again.
- Save the eight-digit pairing code. Take a screenshot or write it down, then tap I’ve saved the code - Finish.
- Reconnect your phone to your home Wi-Fi. You are ready to add the module to Apple Home.

Add to Apple Home
- Make sure your phone and the smart aircon module are connected to your home Wi-Fi.
- Open Home, tap +, then Add Accessory.
- Tap More options… and select Aircon XXXX, matching your module’s four characters.
- Dismiss the Uncertified accessory notification by tapping on Add anyway.
- Enter the eight-digit code saved during setup.
- Follow the prompts to choose a room and a name, such as Bedroom Aircon.
- Select Cool, set a temperature and check that the aircon responds.

Everyday use
Control your aircon in Apple Home.

Control when you are away
For Apple Home access away from home, you need a compatible Apple home hub. Follow Apple’s home hub setup guide.

Help and troubleshooting

| The module will not join my Wi-Fi | Check the password is correct and that 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is enabled. |
| The module does not appear when adding it to Apple Home | Check that your phone is on the same home Wi-Fi network as the module, and that it is powered on. |
| Apple Home says Not Responding | Check that your home Wi-Fi is working. Restart your phone and the Apple home hub before trying again. |
Changed your router or Wi-Fi password?
Leave the module powered for about 5 minutes. Its setup network should reappear. Connect using the details in section 2 and enter your new home Wi-Fi details. Changing Wi-Fi does not remove your Apple Home pairing.
Factory reset
This erases everything
A factory reset erases everything the smart aircon module has stored: your home Wi-Fi details, your Apple Home pairing and all your settings.
- Press and hold the button on the module.
- Wait for the light to flash red. This takes 10 seconds and means the reset is ready.
- Let go. The module erases everything and restarts.
After a reset, remove the old accessory from Apple Home before adding it back:
- Open the accessory in Apple Home.
- Scroll down to Bridge.
- Click on Remove Bridge from Home.
Then, set up the module again from section 2.

What the lights mean
Quick fix
If a light suggests something is wrong, turn the aircon’s power off, wait ten seconds, then turn it back on. This clears most faults.

| Small blue light on | Wi-Fi is disconnected |
| Green briefly | Connection or pairing successful |
| Red steady | Cannot connect to the aircon. Check the cable is firmly connected at both ends, then turn the power off and on again. |
| Red flashing | The module will perform a factory reset — let go of the button and wait for it to restart |
| Yellow slowly pulsing | The module has restarted itself several times and is now waiting. Turn the power off and on again to clear it. |
